All Summer Long – Eager Reader Program
The Eager Reader Program provides prizes for individuals who enroll in summer reading and check items out of the library between June 1, 2024 and August 31, 2024. The individual who is registered in summer reading and has checked out the most items  wins a gift certificate to Trimmers Ice Cream.

Ted’s Troupe Storytime
Ages 0 – 5 years

Early literacy support for birth thru age 5 children and their caregivers. Children enjoy a story with Mrs. Weatherby, a snack, an activity and some social time with peers. Participants receive a complimentary tote and information packet to help with literacy at home, as well as a keepsake “My First Library Card” for your little one.

Amigo Search & Rescue
All ages

Join us on the library lawn June 29th at 10am to see Amigo Search & Rescue dogs demonstrate their skills! These talented dogs perform the important job of locating missing or lost people. Handlers will offer a 2-hour interactive demonstration suitable for visitors of all ages. This program is free and does not require registration.

Seneca County Sheriff K9
All ages

Officer Nelson and his K9 Coski from the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office will be at the Interlaken Public Library July 27th at 10am for a fun 45-minute demonstration. Deputy Nelson and K9 Coski will be available after the program for questions and a meet-and-greet. This program is free and does not require registration, suitable for all ages.

Let’s Glow
Tweens

This fun tween activity lights up every friday night in July! Beginning at 7pm each week, there will be fun music, food and socializing available until 9pm under the black lights in the teen room at the library. No registration required, free to enjoy.

I AM Meditations
Ages 6-17

Join Ms. Jill each Wednesday morning in August for a meditative mantra exercise designed to destress, building confidence and calm anxiety. Beginning at 10am participants will be led thru a 30-minute program to calm and restore. Each participant will receive mala meditation beads (while supplies last). No registration required, free to enjoy!

New Talent Tuesdays
Ages 6-11

Express yourself and share your talents at a poetry slam / kids open mic night on Tuesday in July from 5 to 7pm. Read your favorite poem, share an original, sing a song, play an instrument, the floor is yours! No registration required.

Take-and-Makes
Ages 1-5

Take-and-makes are now available for our youngest library lovers! These simple, short projects are designed to be completed with the help of a caregiver and can be done in the library or at home. Be sure to explore the library and take home a few fun books or activities with your visit. Activities available on a first come, first serve basis. Children learn thru play, and sometime’s that play happens on a flexible schedule. Activities can be available each month during library open hours, with activities changing all summer long. Take-and-Makes
Ages 12-17

Teens have asked for fun summer activities and we are here to deliver! These projects are more complex and take a little longer than take-and-makes for younger children. Check our Facebook page for detailed annoucements of each project!

Personalized School Supplies
Ages 6-17

Get ready for back to school on August 24th from 9am to 12pm at the library. Participants are given a spiral notebook / folders and decorating materials to make it their own. This is a free program but registration is required, phone the library at (607) 532-4341 to join in!

Movie Nights
All ages

Join us in the library each Thursday to select a movie title of your choice and receive complimentary candy and popcorn! This fun family activity can be shared by family members of all ages, and all movies within the library collection are eligible.
